Common Questions

What is WilcoAI?

Voice-first ATC radio practice. Hold the mic, read the clearance back, and get scored on FAA standard phraseology in under a second. Daily Challenge is free, every day; longer drills and full flights run on a subscription.

What's graded, and against what standards?

Every readback is scored on items captured, items missed, and items said wrong. Phraseology notes cite the AIM paragraph or JO 7110.65 section your call exercises — standards come from FAA publications, not made-up rules.

Does WilcoAI work offline?

No. The simulated controller, transcription, and grading all run server-side — WilcoAI requires an internet connection. Daily Challenge audio is generated fresh every day; offline play would mean stale prompts.

What microphone setups work?

Your iPhone's built-in mic works fine for ground practice. For more realistic sessions use a Bluetooth aviation headset or a Smartphone Headset Adapter cable into the panel. The app uses the system input route, so anything iOS hears is what WilcoAI hears.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Select WilcoAI First Officer or WilcoAI Captain and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the current billing period. You can also visit reportaproblem.apple.com to manage or dispute charges.

Is there an Android version?

No. WilcoAI is iOS only. The native audio capture and StoreKit subscription flow are not portable to Android.

Training aid only. Not for flight use. Never act on simulated clearances. WilcoAI is for practice and familiarization — it is not a substitute for a certificated flight instructor, official FAA publications, or current charts, and nothing in the app should be used for real-world navigation or operations.
